While looking at this photograph, my daughter announced, "There Daddy! Hi!" What a way to boost a 

self-conscious mom's self esteem. It shouldn't have bugged me, considering she calls both Tom and I daddy now..

I am at 25 lbs lost. Before I get the "way to go"s and "your doing great", wait a minute. That means I've only lost 5 lbs since December 6th. I need to step up to the plate. Thursday night I ran a 5k on the treadmill making another personal best.

37 minutes 20 seconds

Average speed: 4.9  mph

Average mile: 12 minutes 14 seconds

2 minute cool down at the end, making it 39 minutes, 20 seconds

Burned 750 calories

I started out struggling to do 50 crunches. I am not averaging around 375 each time I do them, I try for 500
My only problem is over the past 2-3 months my servings sizes crept back to where they used to be. And I've gone from hitting the gym 5-6 days a week to 1-3. Not good. Not good at all.

But when I look at a photo like that one up there, I can actually see some progress. Now, I know I really need to work harder on my legs, upper arms, and tummy.

9 desserts for 13 people! And I only had 1.5 slices myself! Not too shabby since I usually have that many of EACH pie!

Yesterday I went to the Trolley Museum in my old town. Alone. With no time restraints. They are only open weekends during the Holiday months so it was a perfectly quiet local to practice my (lack of) photography skills. I have not even come close to going through the images but will hopefully finish within the next day or so. I had so much fun, despite being cold, having to pee, and being scared out of my mind thanks to sounds of someone or something walking in the woods just beyond the point of seeing. I got a two mile walk in as well walking the length of the tracks and back again as well. By the time I left, full bladder and all, I felt more relaxed about life than I had in a long time. I felt at peace despite our financial stress. All in all, great alone time with hopefully great results.

Remember the nasty, crumb catching pubes on my hubs face?

Yea, I didn't find this look all that attractive either. 

And yes, I kindly let him know.

For months, I let him know.

In hopes he'd catch the hint and shave.

I don't understand how a man can only groom a handful of times a year.

Don't most men groom a handful of times every week or two weeks?

It wouldn't be so bad if his facial hair didn't remind me of 80's porn...

Yesterday afternoon, while Bailey and I watched One Life to Live, he finally did it!

During a commercial break I went into the bathroom to find him taming the pubes.

 

I know he needs to fix the hair line and all, and that it's not perfect,

but isn't this much, much better than the before?

Have I ever mentioned how much I hope Bailey ends up with his brows?

What a perfect natural arch.

Every. Single. Night of the week my the hubs makes himself a bag of popcorn. 

Every. Single. Day of the week I tell the hubs that pubes on the face is not a look I find attractive. 

I have tried every tactic in the book to shave the sides and trim up the pubes on his chin. He is the only man I know who grows pubes instead of facial hair. 

Maybe it's because he didn't start growing it until 2003-4. Maybe it's because he knows how gross I find it to be. Who knows? Anyways, I really hope this picture helps him see why I really need him to do some facial grooming.

I swear, it took him at least 10 minutes of me laughing uncontrollably before he realized he had a piece of popcorn stuck there.
