A Blog Award? For me?

My blog is basically a diary that I share with the world. I sometimes get good comments, rarely I get nasty emails. Either way it feels good to know someone has read and has an opinion on my writings.

I came across Heather @ Mommy Only Has Two Hands during the week that disgusting radio clip hit the WWW. Though I am not one to comment on a regular basis, I have been reading her blog regularly. 

Leave it to me to miss a post on a very important day! She nominated *me* for a blog award!

There are a few things I must do in order to accept the award.

1) Thank the person who gave me the award.
2) Share seven things about me.
3) Nominate 15 newly discovered blogs, and let the nominees know about the award.

1. Thank you so much Heather. It is awesome to come across another mommy who not only loves their child but understands the torment life itself can bring. Heather is an amazing woman. I hope others will go and read!

2. Seven things about me:

1. I am only 23 years old.
2. I randomly start singing children's songs at very random times. Just a moment ago, I started singing my ABC's.
3. When I got pregnant with Thomas, Tom bought home a home pregnancy test and made me take it. He also went and viewed the results. When the results were two VERY purple, not pink, purple lines I cried like a baby and he jumped for joy with excitement. He also had to be the one to tell our parents. I was a big fat chicken.
4. I always found drugs to be disgusting, and the whole idea of sticking a needle in your body for a high was even more so, until I found myself on that path. Yet, I still crave that feeling every so often.
5. I was on probation at 12 and 13 years old. After violating, the judge asked my mother whether or not she wanted me home and she said no, I stayed in juvi. 
6. I was caught shoplifting at 12. I stole plain white socks from Filene's. My father yelled at me for not taking something worth more. 
7. I love coloring, and all arts & crafts. My boys are known to find me in the kitchen with their paper, coloring books, crayons and markers. Or using their stickers and household trash we save for arts & crafts. It really helps me relax. Here is my picture from yesterday: 

3. Fifteen blogs. (Do I even know 15 blogs?)

1. Rachel Likes to Ramble: I used to blog on Myspace a lot. Rachel did randomly as well. When she moved over to blogger, I knew I had to as well. It took me a bit of time, but after following her for a while, I took the plunge. 
2. Stuff and Things: Chris originally own and ran evilcarrot.com, years ago I enjoyed reading her words, before blogging was "cool." So glad to see her writing again.
3. Two Blues and a Pink: Trish is an amazing mother who I always love reading about. She blogs about life, her kids, whatever strikes her fancy. Every time I talk to her I find another thing we have in common. Most obviously, having two blues and a pink. 
4. What? I'm a mom now?!: Another mommy who blogs about a little bit of everything.  
5. The Feminist: Now this is an AMAZING woman who totally qualifies for this award
6. Motherhood Uncensored: The very 1st blog I have followed which wasn't written by someone I know.
7. Blessed to be Mommy: Julia, who I still call Julka in my head due to a screen name, is a very talented woman who I am very grateful to know.
8. Out-Numbered: Is a dad of just girls. He is a very interesting writer. His point of view and mindset is always fun to read.
9. My Charming Kids aka MckMama: I, as well as many readers in the blogosphere started following this blog when her sweet Stellan was having heart problems. I have followed on and off since. She blogs about a little bit of everything. Lately, her newest addition.
