Random Tuesday Thoughts

randomtuesday

It's Tuesday again and that means I can write whatever without having too little for a post about something and switch topics like a kid playing with a light switch. If you want to read more Random Tuesday Thoughts, Head on over to The Un Mom.

So my 2.5 year old has been driving me bonkers lately. I mean it was cute at first, No, it was totally sweet. A few weeks ago he asked me to "I (d)own" with him to go "ny-ny". Being the wonderful mommy that I can be, I laid down in his bed with him and cuddled. Now he wants me to lay with him every. single. night. Mommy's only quiet and alone time, like ever, is after the kids go to sleep. So excuse me if I am pretty sick of having to stay up past 10 (11 last night) to cuddle. I have a bedtime too ya know, and I require at least 90 minutes of uninterrupted quiet time before hand. So now, this mommy has been staying up later as well. And let's just say she isn't so fun the morning after.

Speaking of morning. Every morning for the past 4 or so, maybe longer, I have been extremely nauseous. At least twice a week it is so bad I do end up throwing up. Since May, I have been having some really intense cravings. First, strawberry-banana vivanno's from Starbucks. Then came iced mocha latte's from Dunkin'. That was soon followed by strawberry banana's smoothies from McDonald's, which led into wild berry smoothies from McD's. During that time has also been the nightly ritual of miniature reese's which led into moose tracks ice cream and butterfinger ice cream.. And to add insult to injury these cravings which I succumbed to more than once a day, caused my weight to skyrocket an additional 25 lbs. I have also been dealing with sever sciatic nerve pain as well.. I swear if I wasn't breastfeeding, had an IUD, and well have been having sex a tad bit more, I'd be convinced I was pregnant. We has sex back in March-twice. Then twice in the past three weeks. That is it. And I tested back in May, negative of course. Glad I only spent $3 on that test! I talked to the doctor and he thinks it is just a combination of the Mirena, breastfeeding, and my Methadone. I don't know. I just don't want to end up on "I didn't know I was pregnant!"

Every day, at least 5 times a day, I tell my boys not to leave their cups where Bailey can reach them. Know what she is currently playing with? No! Not the cups.. The straws from inside the cups. Lucky me.

I guess this is random enough. Miss Bailey is getting sleepy and mommy wants some quiet time.

  1. I am the mom of six and I went through that cuddling time with each of them I believe. My daughter is totally different and cuddles for given period of time them puts daughter in her crib and has her go to sleep she fusses for a bit not long then off to sleepy land I could never do this because the fussy would bring me to pick her up. So good luck with your bedtime ritual.

  2. Glad you found me :) I so would not mind the bedtime cuddles if they didn't last 2-3 hours each night. I am hoping he just needs a bit of extra mommy time and it passes soon. I find it better I write my complaints and provide him his needs without complaining to him. (I am going to check your blog out right now.) :D
